Ingredients

  • 3 medium Potato, boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup Gram flour (besan), for batter
  • 1 Green chili, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 500 ml Vegetable oil, for deep frying
  • to taste Salt

Steps

  1. Serves 2. Mix the mashed potato with green chili, ginger, coriander, cumin, chili powder and salt.
  2. Shape the mixture into small flat patties.
  3. Whisk the gram flour with water into a smooth, thick coating batter.
  4. Dip each patty in the batter, coating it fully.
  5. Deep-fry until the coating turns deep golden and crisp, about 4-5 minutes, turning once.
  6. Drain on a rack and serve hot.
