Grilled Paneer

Paneer marinated in spiced yogurt, threaded with capsicum and onion, and grilled rather than simmered in a butter gravy. Same 23 g of protein as a paneer curry, without the cream.
Ingredients
- 250 g Paneer, cut into 2 cm cubes
- 1 medium Capsicum, cut into squares
- 1 medium Onion, cut into petals
- 3 tbsp Thick yogurt
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- to taste Salt
Steps
- Serves 2. Whisk the yogurt with ginger, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala and salt into a thick marinade.
- Fold in the paneer, capsicum and onion so every piece is coated. Rest 30 minutes — longer makes the paneer weep.
- Thread onto skewers, alternating paneer and vegetables.
- Grill over medium-high heat, or under a hot broiler, turning every 3 minutes until the edges char — about 10-12 minutes total.
- Brush with the oil in the last minute, then serve hot with lemon.
