Chicken Burger

Chicken Burger is an easy go-to when you want something quick, satisfying, and widely loved.
Ingredients
- 2 large Boneless chicken thigh fillets
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Cornflour
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 2 Burger buns
- 1 tbsp Butter, for the buns
- 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 4 Lettuce leaves
- 1 Tomato, sliced
- 1/2 Onion, thinly sliced
- 500 ml Vegetable oil, for frying
- to taste Salt
Steps
- Makes 2 burgers. Butterfly the thigh fillets and flatten them slightly so they cook evenly and fit the bun.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper and paprika, then dredge it in the flour and cornflour, dip in beaten egg, and press firmly into the breadcrumbs.
- Rest the crumbed fillets 10 minutes so the coating sets and does not slide off in the oil.
- Heat the oil to 170C and fry each fillet 4-5 minutes a side until deep golden and cooked to 74C in the middle.
- Drain on a rack, not on paper, so the crust stays crisp.
- Butter the cut faces of the buns and toast them in a dry pan until browned.
- Build from the bottom: mayonnaise, lettuce, the hot fillet, tomato, onion, then the top bun. Press gently and serve at once.
